About

Performance Nutrition. Chef Crafted. Built for High Performers.

Our Story

Fork & Fuel was never just an idea about meal prep.

It started the same way most real performance problems do — quietly, inside the routines of people who are already pushing hard in life.

Busy professionals trying to stay sharp. Athletes trying to stay lean, strong, and consistent. High performers who could train, lead, build, and execute... but were constantly being pulled back by one simple problem: they didn’t have the time, structure, or consistency to actually eat like the person they were trying to become.

That gap — between ambition and execution — is where Fork & Fuel was born.

Two Worlds. One Standard

Fork & Fuel is the result of a rare alignment between two people who’ve lived on opposite sides of performance, but solved the same problem from different angles.

On one side:
Lawrence McNel, a high-performance health coach, former pro basketball player, father, and coach with over a decade of experience helping elite athletes and busy professionals build muscle, lose fat, and move better.
He built systems that kept people consistent when discipline wasn’t enough. The problem was never knowledge — it was execution under pressure.

On the other side:
Chef James Cuttriss, Red Seal Certified Chef, Culinary Arts graduate, and award-winning chef with over 23 years of experience.
Chef of the Year (2001 & 2002), five restaurant openings, private chef work for athletes, celebrities, and elite organizations including professional sports teams and Muskoka residencies.
He saw the gap between performance nutrition and culinary experience — and built The Melt-N-Pot with his sons to bring chef-quality meals into everyday

The Meeting Point

When they connected through a mutual contact, the problem was obvious.

Performance needed better food. And great food needed better purpose.

Two weeks later, Fork & Fuel existed.

What We Believe

Fork & Fuel is not a meal prep service.

It’s a system for high performers who refuse to let nutrition be the reason they slow down.

Every bowl is built with intention:

- Macros designed for real performance outcomes

- Chef-crafted meals that make consistency effortless
This is not compromise food. This is performance fuel.

Final Word

We believe performance is built in the small decisions repeated daily.

We removed the friction. We kept the intention.

Fork & Fuel exists to make eating like a high performer simple.
